β2-M, BMG.

Common Use:
To assist in diagnosing malignancy such as lymphoma, leukemia, or multiple myeloma. Also valuable in assessing for chronic severe inflammatory and kidney diseases.

Serum collected in a red- or red/gray-top tube or urine from a timed collection in a clean plastic container with 1 N NaOH as a preservative. Urine from an unpreserved random collection may also be requested.
